NWS: Storm downed trees, knocked out power in St. Helena Parish on Friday
MONTPELIER, La. (BRPROUD) — The National Weather Service issued a storm report for a thunderstorm with wind damage that might qualify as a weak tornado in St. Helena Parish. According to the NWS report, the parish emergency director provided information on storm damage about 7 miles west-northwest of Montpelier sustained around 1:45 p.m. Doors were reportedly blown open, trees were downed and there were some power outages.
