LIVINGSTON - Deputies are seeking a third, teenage suspect after a shooting that left an 11-year-old girl injured. Ja'den James, 17, of Tickfaw is wanted for attempted first-degree murder. He is believed to be connected to a shooting on Ed Brown Road Saturday that left the girl injured when a bullet made its way into her home. Officials said she was shot in her torso.

Last Saturday, the 11-year-old girl was in the bathroom when the family says more than 50 bullets tore through her home. She was shot in the upper torso by a stray bullet. They say three men stood in the front yard and shot at the house.

Deputies searching for man who reportedly committed check fraud, identity theft in Tickfaw
TICKFAW — The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is attempting to identify a forgery and identity theft suspect. Deputies say that on March 24, a white man wearing a baseball cap, sleeveless black tank top, black pants and light-colored shoes entered a store at the corner of Highway 1064 and Whiskey Lane and attempted to use a fraudulent check. He also reportedly attempted to use someone else's ID.

LORANGER - A 28-year-old man was arrested for stabbing his mother Monday, according to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office. Police say Lance Joiner, 28, was found attempting to harm himself with a knife, leading to an altercation. As a result, Joiner stabbed his mother in the neck and hands. She was able to get away while another family member fought for possession of the knife, and Joiner was held down by a family member when they got possession.
