Elderly man missing since last month found deceased in car in Yavapai County
COTTONWOOD, Ariz. — A 79-year-old man who has been missing for the last month was recently found deceased in a car located in a remote area of Yavapai County. The Cottonwood Police Department said Edward Dominick's white Chevrolet Equinox was found last week west of Interstate 17 near Blood Basin Road. Dominick was found deceased inside his vehicle and no signs of foul play were observed, police said.

At approximately 7:21 p.m. on Sunday, November 26, 2023, fire crews from the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (CAFMA) were dispatched to a reported structure fire in the vicinity of North Quen Sabe Lane in Paulden, Arizona. Cottonwood Man Jailed on Drug & Weapon Charges
A Cottonwood resident is in jail on drug and weapons charges, after a joint effort by Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking (PANT) and the Cottonwood PD. PANT detectives received information that 41-year-old Chad Kime was involved in the sale of dangerous drugs and was illegally in possession of weapons. The Verde Valley SWAT team served an early morning search warrant at Kime’s residence Nov.16, and detectives found fentanyl and drug paraphernalia along with weapons. Kime was not home at the time.

The Cottonwood Recreation Center has set up an official Santa mailbox again for children to mail their letters. A free raffle for two children's bicycles, donated by Walmart of Cottonwood, will also be held. The Craft Bazaar will run from 10:00a to 4:00p at the Community Center Gym and will feature over 40 craft vendors.
