Kitchen Fire at Golden Corral in Prescott – Prescott Fire Department
At about 7 AM on Monday, June 5th, Prescott Regional Communications Center received a call for an automatic fire alarm at the Golden Corral in the 1900 block of Highway 69 in Prescott. During the dispatch for the alarm, an employee of the restaurant called 911 to state there was a fire in the kitchen. All employees at the restaurant were told to evacuate the premises. When the initial unit arrived on scene they found moderate smoke and flames in the back kitchen and pulled a pre-connected hose line to extinguish the fire. Two of the sprinkler heads had also activated and were able to keep the fire in check until the firefighters were able to extinguish the fire. In total, there were 16 fire department personnel, as well as tribal law enforcement and Lifeline Ambulance that assisted on the incident. There were no injuries reported to any restaurant employee or fire department personnel. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
