Girl Assaults Emergency Room Nurse in Denville, say Police
DENVILLE, NJ - An emergency room nurse at St. Clare's Hospital was injured early Monday morning in an assault by a juvenile female, police said. They said the incident took place at about 2:57 a.m. and resulted in the girl being charged with aggravated assault and criminal mischief. Upon arriving at the scene, Denville officers found that the assault not only caused bodily injury to the nurse but also broke the employee's glasses, police said. No further details were revealed. Gaynor Place Dog Attack Could Result in Seizure of Pet
GLEN ROCK, NJ - A dog out on a walk with its owner sustained puncture and laceration wounds from another dog that ran out of its home last week, an incident that may result in Animal Control seizing the dog that attacked, according to the police. On March 21 at approximately 6 p.m., police responded to Gaynor Place where they discovered a dog who had run from a Gaynor Place home and attacked another dog being walked by its owner of a leash, police said. "The dog sustained puncture and laceration wounds to its rear hip and upper right thigh," police said. "The owner transported the dog to a Veterinary Hospital for treatment." The attacking dog was contained by a family member of its owner, police said. A subsequent investigation was conducted by Animal Control, in cooperation with the Borough’s Health Official. Based upon their findings, Animal Control has filed a Potentially Dangerous Dog complaint with the Glen Rock Municipal Court. Animal Control is currently seeking a warrant to seize the dog pending a determination by the court.
