Early Wednesday afternoon, the Detroit Lions agreed on a four-year contract extension with one of their top young players, Amon-Ra St. Brown.

The wide receiver's new contract is for four years and more than $120 million with $77 million guaranteed. This now makes St. Brown the highest-paid receiver in the NFL.

In 2023, St. Brown had his best season as a pro. He recorded 119 catches for 1,515 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns, helping lead the Lions to the NFC Championship game.

With the news of this contract, teams like the Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals, and Minnesota Vikings are now sweating as the wide receiver market has been set very high. Each team's WR, CeeDee Lamb, Ja'Marr Chase, and Justin Jefferson, respectively, are all expected to hold out until they receive a new contract.
