The Washington Huskies set the bar high to follow up the success of the 2023 team fresh off a historic run to the 2024 College Football Playoff’s National Championship Game.

With the arrival of former Arizona Wildcats head coach Jedd Fisch to the program, the Huskies hope to continue building on the foundation of their recent success.

With annual spring game practices occurring nationwide, the new head coach envisioned a large crowd attending their spring game at Husky Stadium on Friday night.

“Washington announces 18,448 for their spring game last night. New HC Jedd Fisch had an ambitious attendance goal of 40,000 for the scrimmage branded 'Dawgs after Dark'. Comparison of 2024 to 2023,” Pat Smith reported on X.

Those attendance numbers, while ambitious for a stadium seating roughly 70,000, do appear to be an improvement from their 2023 spring scrimmage. Washington expects Husky Stadium to be a formidable home environment as the program enters its inaugural season as part of the Big Ten Conference.
