COLUMBUS, Ohio — Two people were injured in an early morning shooting at an apartment complex in southwest Columbus Saturday, according to the Columbus Division of Police. Officers were called to the 700 block of Canonby Place, located in the South Franklinton neighborhood, shortly before 3:30 a.m. following reports of a shooting.

COLUMBUS, OH – The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Evan Jones, a suspect in a 2022 homicide, in Houston, Texas, following a vehicle pursuit on Thursday. The second suspect, Jermaine Johnson, had been previously apprehended by Columbus Police SWAT officers on March 30, 2023. The two men are believed to be responsible for the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Anthony Elmore in South Linden in November 2022. COLUMBUS, OH – A store employee on N. Hamilton Rd was assaulted by a female shoplifting suspect on March 19. The Columbus Police Property Crimes Bureau is currently looking for the woman, who repeatedly punched the employee in the face before leaving the store with stolen items. One local theft suspect attacked a grocery store employee after being stopped. According to Columbus Police, just before 12 p.m. on March 19, an employee of the Meijer Grocery Store stopped a shoplifter. The individual then “repeatedly punched [the employee] in the face” before fleeing the store with some of the items she had been trying to steal.
