College Football Recruit Sends Warning to Big Ten Quarterbacks After Oregon Commitment

Four-star linebacker Nasir Wyatt out of Mater Dei announced his commitment to Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks on Friday.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound linebacker from Santa Ana, Calif. chose the Ducks over Tennessee, Texas and USC. He ranks as the No. 70 overall recruit and eighth-best edge in the 2025 cycle, per the 247Sports composite .

It's not Wyatt's commitment decision that's turning heads, though. The Ducks are a monster on the recruiting trail, and those Mater Dei kids love to play at Oregon.

What's turning heads is the four-word warning Wyatt relayed to Big Ten quarterbacks after committing to the Ducks.

"Big 10 quarterbacks do yall homework before I get to Eugene," Wyatt said after committing to Oregon.

It looks like Lanning as another defensive menace to work with on defense.

That's a pretty bold promise from the youngster. He's clearly confident in his abilities.

Lanning's Oregon career, meanwhile, started out with a dud in a blowout loss to Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs. However, he's building a monster out there in Eugene, Ore. The Ducks' trajectory and momentum have never been better.

Oregon begins the 2024 season on Aug. 31 vs. Idaho. It will be the Ducks' first year in the Big Ten.
