This past week, head coach Lisa Bluder and the Iowa Hawkeyes landed a big-time transfer to fill some of the scoring vacuum left by the WNBA departure of all-time leading scorer Caitlin Clark.

Villanova transfer Lucy Olsen is committed to play for the Hawkeyes in 2024-25. This past season, she finished as the third leading scorer (23.3 ppg) in college basketball, trailing only Clark and JuJu Watkins.

"New beginnings @IowaWBB #Hawkeyes #letsgo," Olsen wrote in her commitment announcement.

While theres's no way of truly replacing Clark's impact, Iowa fans are understandably excited about this addition.

"LUCY OLSEN TO IOWA. IN LISA WE TRUST," one wrote.

"Looking good in the gold script!" another said.

"Back like we never left. LETS GO," another added.

Olsen is arriving in Iowa with one season of remaining collegiate eligibility. She's a much-needed get for the Hawkeyes' backcourt, which is also losing Kate Martin, Gabbie Marshall and Molly Davis.
