LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A 34-year-old Lincoln man was arrested after threatening two people with a gun before shooting himself in the leg, police said. The arrest brings closure to a shooting near 10th and South streets that left one man with a bullet wound. According to an arrest affidavit, Haakeem Shannon showed up at Bryan West with a gunshot wound after midnight on Feb. 8.

A Colorado athlete became Nebraska’s seventh commitment to the class of 2025 on Thursday afternoon. Tanner Terch is a three-star prospect out of Heritage High School in Littleton, Colorado.
