Vail's End-of-Season Party is Friday, April 19

Pssst. Here's something.

Vail is skiing great right now. Really great.

I just spent most of today there, lapping the Mountaintop Express (all those cruisers are in Jason Statham shape) and the Avanti Express (and that looker's right terrain is tucked tight in the top-shape drawer with Jane Fonda, too (say that fast)).

Just stay up high and you're golden.

This bodes well for Friday's big party and this weekend's closing activities. That's tomorrow!

Friday is the Town of Vail's Vail Après celebration. Here are the brief details :

• 1–3 pm: Vail Social Ski Race

• 3 –7 pm: Live Music with Cas Haley , a nationally recognized artist for country, rock, blues, and reggae—plus local artists

Vail Social Ski Race

This will be 1–3 pm Friday.

A fun, only slightly competitive ski race to crown the “best skier on the mountain” with prizes awarded to those participates with:

• Best costume
• Fastest male time
• Fastest female time (… and more!)

Register onsite, 12 noon – 1 pm, day of event with Vail Ski & Snowboard Club at the base of Golden Peak . Must have your own ski pass/lift ticket to participate.

Food and beverages will be available starting at 3 pm.

The "Bash" Party

This will be 3–7 pm Friday

• Live music, food, drinks and raffles at Golden Peak, at the base of Vail mountain. Everyone is welcome to join!

• Dance, eat, mingle, drink, and celebrate the end of another successful winter! Fun costumes and themes are encouraged…Food Trucks and beverages from VBC and 10th Mountain will be available starting at 3 pm.

• Cas Haley , a nationally recognized artist for country, rock, blues, and reggae
• Music from local artists; Dave Tucker and Bob Masters

If you work or live in zip code 81657 or 81658, your first food and beverage selections are on the Town [apparently]. Swing by the Discover Vail tent during the event to get your tickets for one free drink (alcoholic or non) and one free food item.
