"We're celebrating a major spring storm at Copper Mountain this morning! 18 inches of new snow fell overnight at the resort, and we've also seen another 5 inches stack up on the snow stake since it was cleared this morning," said an early morning email from Olivia Butrymovich, Copper's communications and philanthropy manager.

The snow stake can be seen here: https://www.coppercolorado.com/the-mountain/webcams/mountain/snow-stake-cam .

Conditions on the mountain are reportedly "unreal."

"[Eighteen] inches of snow certainty helps us ensure the length of the season," Butrymovich wrote.

It's been snowing throughout the Central Rockies overnight. A couple of friends texted me this morning saying it was a definite powder day on Aspen Mountain.

According to Colorado Ski Country, A-Basin pulled down 13 inches in the last 24 hours, Breckenridge and Eldora got 6 inches, Loveland got 10 inches, Monarch got 3 inches, Steamboat Springs got 9 inches, and Vail and Winter Park got 10 inches.

There's going to be skiing well into May, folks.

See you out there.
