Homicide at 2700 Easter Avenue
On February 25, 2024, at approximately 8:50 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 2700 block of Easter Avenue. The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived they found a car crashed and the driver, 17-year-old Keymere McCriston, shot inside the vehicle. Dallas Fire and Rescue responded to the call and transported McCriston, and his passenger, who was injured in the crash, to the hospital. McCriston died at the hospital, the passenger was treated and released.
