Truth About Joel Embiid's Viral Eye Issue Revealed

Just when the Philadelphia 76ers seemed to catch a break with a victory in Game 3, news breaks that an injury to Joel Embiid was worse than what's been reported.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Embiid has been treated for Bell's Palsey. He suffered the eye injury in the Sixers play-in victory over the Miami Heat.

Embiid stuck through it and has yet to miss major minutes. He's determined to will his team toward a series victory and he exemplified in a tremendous way on Thursday.

In the Sixers' Game 3 victory, Embiid recorded 50 points and eight rebounds on efficient splits.

Embiid's injuries will surely be monitored as the Sixers trail the Knicks 2-1 in the first-round series.
