Food truck provides free food to people in Cedar Rapids
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - A Cedar Rapids man opened up the food truck he co-owns for free to help support families in an area that will soon become a food desert. Greg Wild is a Cedar Rapids native and said he wanted to give back to the community he grew up in. He and a few volunteers gave away free food from the food truck, Wild’r Eatery, in the parking lot of the Hy-Vee along First Avenue in Cedar Rapids.

Warm weekend, rain returns next week
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - We’re ending the week with nice summer-like weather and we’ll keep it going into the upcoming weekend. Temperatures this afternoon climb to the lower 80s and will soar to the upper 80s tomorrow. We’ll also get an assist from a bit more of a south-southwesterly breeze, potentially reaching about 15 to 25 mph at times. Tomorrow night there is an outside shot at a stray shower tomorrow night for some but most will remain dry. Another nice one sets up Sunday with highs in the low to middle 80s and a mix of sun and clouds overhead.
Annual kite show returns to Lowe Park in Marion
