A cool local eatery now has its very own storefront! The Hangry Lady has officially opened across from NewBo City Market at 1101 3rd St SE in Cedar Rapids!. If The Hangry Lady sounds familiar, it's because the eatery first opened inside NewBo City Market back in June of 2021. The business is owned and operated by Chef Allie Lanham, a Cedar Rapids-native that graduated from the Kirkwood Culinary Arts Program in 2019. After graduation, she was the Chef de Cuisine at Caucho for almost 2 years, and then the Executive Chef at Popoli for 6 months. When Popoli closed, Allie decided to open her own business.
