On Monday, December 4, 2023, members of the Kinston Police Department Criminal Investigations Division obtained warrants and arrested John Landrine, 65, of Kinston, for Second Degree Forcible Sexual Offense and Crimes Against Nature. The arrest stemmed from an investigation that began on November 13, 2023, in reference to the sexual misconduct between Landrine and an adult handicapped male who was under the care of Landrine. After the arrest, Landrine was placed in the Lenoir County Detention Center under a secure bond.
