Driver charged after speeding into back of school bus in Davidson County
DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — A driver is charged after crashing into a school bus in Davidson County on Wednesday, troopers say. Troopers said the crash happened around 7:18 a.m. on Arnold Road at Towhee Trail. The bus was traveling north coming to a stop to allow students on the bus when a 1991 Nissan came behind and crashed into the rear of the bus.
Multiple agencies joined for recent license check

HIGH POINT— A fire caused extensive damage to a townhome in north High Point on Tuesday. Neighbors reported the blaze in the 4400 block of Veranda Lake Court about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, the High Point Fire Department said.
