WestShore Plaza redevelopment is approved, mall to be demolished
The WestShore Plaza Mall will be torn down and replaced by a massive new district with shopping, apartments, offices, medical facilities and more. The Tampa City Council unanimously approved a redevelopment plan from Washington Prime Group at a recent meeting. The move comes nearly four years after plans to overhaul the mall were first announced.
