While at the star-studded event Ashanti placed her hands on her stomach and Nelly got behind her and placed his hands on the same area which drove fans crazy and made the rumors start.

After the speculation a source spoke out and confirmed the pregnancy to US Weekly, but it seems like Ashanti wanted to share the big news herself!
