Cam’ron is speaking out on his wild appearance on CNN and explains exactly why he acted out. For those who missed it, the rapper-turned-podcaster appeared on NewNight where anchor Abby Phillip asked him questions about fellow rapper Sean “ Diddy ” Combs. He was asked about the video of the music mogul’s altercation with his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura . However, it quickly veered off course, leaving viewers both entertained and ultimately shocked.

When asked about his response to the video, Cam’ron made it clear that he does not support any form of illegal activities, such as trafficking minors or domestic violence. The interview took an unexpected turn when Cam’ron decided to indulge in a shot of PinkHorsePower, a supplement drink he owns. With a little grin, he playfully remarked, “I’m gonna’ go get some cheeks after this horsepower drink.” He also used the moment to plug his podcast, “It Is What It Is.”

As the interview continued, anchor Abby Phillip delved a little more into the topic of the industry’s protection of individuals like Diddy. This line of questioning seemed to strike a nerve with Cam’ron, leading him to become visibly agitated. He questioned the talent agent responsible for booking him on the show. In a mumbling aside, he asserted that he was not interested in watching Diddy or engaging with the drama surrounding him. Following the interview, Cam’ron took to Instagram to say, “F*** they invite me on CNN for?” Now, during the latest episode of his podcast with Mase, Cam explains that he was ultimately disappointed that he wasn’t asked about their great show or the amazing work he and Mase do for the community. More On Diddy:

CNN recently obtained a shocking video last week showing Diddy assaulting his ex Cassie in 2016 at a hotel. Surveillance footage shows him throwing her onto the ground, kicking and dragging her. This video matches the allegations Cassie made in her November 2023 lawsuit that she filed him and quickly settled the next day.

Following the release of the clip, her attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, released a statement saying: “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”

Diddy on the other hand has since apologized in a video statement amid heavy backlash. He said,

“It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that,” Diddy said in a video on Instagram in which he did not name Ventura or refer to her directly, as court-ordered not to. “I was f—ed up. I hit rock bottom — but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable.”

The rapper added: “I take full responsibility for my actions in that video, I’m disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it and I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help, started going to therapy and rehab, had to ask God for his mercy and grace,” he said.
