Varsity Huskies Recap of Section Championship Game
Last week the Hughson Huskies played Bradshaw Christian in a nail biting game. The game started off close but in the 3rd quarter Bradshaw Christian managed to get up 31 to 13. The Hughson Huskies took care of business though as their defense would only allow 1 more touchdown after that and they got an onside kick to get them another opportunity to score and they did. After the Huskies scored for the last time to put them up 40 to 39. After a failed onside kick by Bradshaw the Huskies offense closed out the game.

Congratulations to Carlos Guizar for being one of our male athletes of the week. Carlos is a junior here at Hughson High school, and a member of the varsity football team. As we all know, the football team has been doing amazing in the playoffs, with many players to give recognition to. Carlos stood out in the teams last game in Sacramento against Bradshaw Christian. Carlos was great on defense, with 3 solo tackles, 6 total tackles, and 1 sack. Many important plays and distance in yards occurred because of Carlos’ dedication to his team!
