Increased Law Enforcement Presence At Jamestown Encampment
Jamestown, CA– An increased law enforcement presence has been observed around the Rawhide Bridge encampment in Jamestown, The Tuolumne County Sheriffs were responding to numerous complaints affecting the area’s quality of life and local businesses. Deputy Sheriffs are conducting patrol checks in the vicinity, enforcing violations of Penal and Health & Safety Codes, including Fish & Game Codes for pollution. During these operations, deputies arrested two females for outstanding warrants, with one found in possession of suspected fentanyl.
Search continues for 17-year-old along Merced River
BALLICO, Calif. — The search is ongoing for a missing teenager along the Merced River. California State Parks said a 17-year-old was in distress near the day-use beach at McConnell State Recreation Area around 8 p.m. Saturday. The person who called in the report ultimately lost track of the teen.
Roundup Parade Street Closure And Parking Details
Sonora, CA — A community celebration, the Mother Lode Roundup Parade, will get underway Saturday morning at 10 o’clock in downtown Sonora. New Mother Lode Roundup Queen
Sonora, CA — A Lodi resident, who grew up in Burson, is the new Mother Lode Roundup Queen. 22-year-old Delaney Grace was awarded the crown at the Queen Coronation Ceremony held Thursday at the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Posse Grounds in Jamestown. Grace was also Miss Clements Stampede in 2020, a title she proudly held for three years as a result of the pandemic. She noted that she strives to live a life spreading kindness, smiles, and laughter.
