CERES, Calif. — A man was taken to the hospital with major injuries after being hit by a car in Ceres Thursday evening, according to police. The Ceres Police Department says the crash happened on Hatch Road west of Boothe Road around 6:36 p.m. The 35-year-old man was walking eastbound in the eastbound lane of Hatch Road, on the south side of the roadway, when he was hit by a gray Cadillac traveling the same direction as him. The man is still in critical condition in the hospital.
