Judges first noted the position and orientation of the mallards in Fisher’s painting, describing the ducks in flight as an action shot. The painting reflected the background as Sutter Buttes, a small mountain village near Yuba City in Sutter County. Artist Fisher’s Blue Ribbon winner and three runners up will be on display at the Pacific Flyway Decoy Association Annual Wildlife Art Festival in Sacramento.
