Two Offutt AFB gates closed to public traffic
BELLEVUE, Neb. (WOWT) - Offutt Air Force Base closed two of its gates to public traffic on Wednesday. According to a notice posted at 11 a.m., traffic was still being permitted through the StratCom gate, which is located along Butler Boulevard near the visitor center and is open 24/7; but was not allowed through the Kenney and Bellevue gates.
Severe weather weekend still expected in KMAland
(Undated) -- Confidence remains high for a substantial severe weather outbreak in KMAland throughout the weekend. Most of the region remains in an enhanced risk for severe storms--including all modes of extreme weather conditions. Weatherology Meteorologist Kara Foster is among those watching the potential weather development. Fugitive From Florida Arrested in Montgomery County
(Red Oak) A man wanted in Florida for deadly assault is arrested in Montgomery County. According to the press release, Montgomery County Deputies arrested 29-year-old Brady Cullen Mutschler of Poinciana, Florida, on Wednesday on three felony warrants. Officers transported Mutschler to the Montgomery County Jail for extradition to Florida to face charges of Domestic Violence, Aggravated Assault, Deadly Intent, False Imprisonment, and Domestic Violence Battery by Strangulation.
Glenwood officials hold line on city's fiscal 2025
(Glenwood) -- Glenwood officials say it took a team effort to tackle the city's budget demands for next fiscal year. Earlier this week, the Glenwood City Council approved the city's fiscal 2025 budget, with a property tax levy of approximately $14.58 per thousand dollars valuation. Though the fiscal '25 levy is down from the current fiscal year's levy of about $15.60 per thousand, Glenwood City Administrator Amber Farnan tells KMA News next fiscal year's budget is actually $987 more than last year.

Red Oak Man in custody on Felony Drug Charges
(Red Oak) Red Oak Police arrested a man on Tuesday with multiple Police Department warrants in connection with felony drug charges. Police arrested 28-year-old Nikolus Brenton Schooling at the Montgomery County Law Enforcement Center for Felony Drug Trafficking Methamphetamine, Intent to Manufacture/Deliver a Schedule 1 Narcotic, Controlled Substance Violation, and Drug Stamp Violations. Officers transported Schooling to the Montgomery County Jail and held him on a $45,000.00 bond.
