A 78,000-square-foot retail center opened off Corkscrew Road east of Old Corkscrew Golf Club in Estero. Located at 18405 Parksville Drive, Shoppes at Verdna Village, which was developed by Winter Garden-based WMG Development, is anchored by Publix and includes additional community amenities, including Publix Liquor, Heartland Dental, Dunkin’, The Nail Spa Estero, New York Pizza & Pasta and The UPS Store. Roughly 200 jobs were created with the opening of this Publix-anchored shopping center, WMG officials said. The land was originally owned by Cameratta Cos., who pioneered the east Lee County housing expansion in recent years.
