Getting your Trinity Audio player ready... Not all wins are equal, and some are darn right ugly. I wouldn’t go as far as saying Tualatin’s performance was the latter, but it wasn’t up to their standard and head coach Dom Ferraro said as much immediately after their state playoff game with Grant.

On the back of a stellar 10-4-1 regular season campaign, the Axe are headed to the state quarterfinals for the first time since 2019. "That was the first penalty I've ever taken in a game," Pettersson said with a slight smile. "So, that was nice. That was fun." An all-state center back who has helped the Axe limit their opponents to just 19 goals this season, Pettersson didn't necessarily need to convert her attempt to keep her team alive. South Eugene and Beaverton each converted four of their first five attempts, which
