Sunny weather in Oregon has authorities warning hikers to be prepared
Authorities are warning people to be better prepared after several incidents across popular hiking areas in Oregon during the sunny weather. Two hikers were stranded overnight on a cliff near Multnomah Falls Saturday. They made their way out of the woods Sunday, but not before a big search and rescue effort. In South Eugene, a Life Flight helicopter was called to the top of Spencer Butte to evacuate an injured hiker. In another incident, the body of a 61-year-old hiker was found Saturday at Horsetail Falls by Multnomah County Search and Rescue. The medical examiner has yet to determine the official cause of death.

Lane County home listing prices down slightly from January
An analysis of data from Realtor.com shows the median home listing price in Lane County in February was $521,236, down 1.1% from median listing price in January of $527,000. More homes were listed for sale in February than the same month last year — 316 versus 258 — and the median listing price was 2% higher than what was asked for in February 2023 at $517,450.
Rollover crash in Springfield hospitalizes one with life-threatening injuries
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — The Eugene Springfield Fire Department reports a serious crash Thursday afternoon. According to the fire department, a rollover accident occurred at 58th and Main Street in Springfield. "One person was extricated and transported to RiverBend with life threatening injuries," the fire department stated.
