Delays coming to Troutdale roads for hazardous tree removal
Expect traffic delays next week across Troutdale as road crews remove hazardous trees that are at high risk of falling along a trio of roadways. From Monday, April 29, through Friday, May 3, Multnomah County crews will be working from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. At each site there will be large equipment and flaggers directing traffic. Delays could reach up to 20 minutes. The work locations are: Southeast Stark Street — Delays between Southeast 35th Street and the Stark Street Bridge.Southeast Kerslake Road — Delays between Southeast Stark Street and Southeast 302nd Avenue.Southeast Sweetbriar Road — Delays between Southeast 282nd Avenue and Soutehast Kerslake Road. Rhododendron CPO plans May meeting
The Rhododendron Community Planning Organization (CPO) will meet again at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at the Alpine Event Center, 73365 Highway 26, Rhododendron. The agenda will include a vote on new board members. The following people have volunteered to be members of the board: Jan Ostrom, Steve Graeper, Lindsey Costanich and Mike Miskowicz. Sandy High prom relocated after prior venue closed by county
With the recent closure of Mt. Hood Center in Boring, many Sandy High parents have been asking where the school's prom will take place now. The Night in Disguise-themed masquerade ball was originally intended to take place at the nearby equestrian and events facility, but Sandy High administrators announced to families on April 22 that it will now be held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 10, at the Mt. Hood Oregon Resort in Welches. Students who wish to attend can purchase tickets before school and at lunch.
