DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. – A man is dead after a crash on Sunday threw him from the vehicle he was riding in, Oregon State Police reported. According to Oregon State Police, troopers heard a report of a single-vehicle crash on Highway 230 north of Union Creek at about 8 a.m. on June 9. Troopers said they arrived to find a southbound Ford F-150 had gone off the southbound shoulder on a left-hand turn, overcorrected across the roadway, and rolled down an embankment before coming to rest on its passenger side.

Central Point police say weekend death case victims and suspects are from same family
CENTRAL POINT, Ore. -- Central Point Police Department says today all people involved in a weekend stabbing death are members of the same family. Central Point Police Department (CPPD) Lieutenant Josh Abbott says police are interviewing more people today in the death investigation. Wanted fugitive arrested after hit-and-run of police officer in Medford
MEDFORD, Ore. -- A Butte Falls man is in jail after intentionally crashing into a Central Point Police Department (CPPD) vehicle on Friday. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says the man, 34-year old Joshua Edward McLaughlin, was a wanted fugitive on eight warrants including first-degree burglary and multiple counts of felony elude. Early Friday morning McLaughlin had crashed into the police patrol car on purpose, hitting a CPPD police officer with his side view mirror in the process. JCSO says the officer is set to make a full recovery.
