High School Theatre Programs Win at Regional Competition!
Our high school theatre programs and students won top honors at regional One Act Play competitions, including a region championship win for Sequoyah High School! Congratulations to all of our schools’ casts, crews, and drama teachers and thank you to the boosters, volunteers, and sponsors who support these amazing programs and best wishes to Sequoyah’s team as they advance to state competition later this month. We’re on a mission to be the highest-performing school district in Georgia where our students are learning more, growing more, and achieving more in our classrooms (and on our stages!) than they could anywhere else!

A handmade sign in the pit earned Brayden Frasure the night of his life. During the Oct. 29 stop of Zach Top's Cold Beer & Country Music Tour at Gas South Arena in Duluth, Georgia, Top spotted the young singer-songwriter in the crowd, read his sign, and invited him onstage. When Top asked what he wanted to sing, Frasure didn't hesitate: “Tennessee Whiskey.”
