A bus driver on Long Island, New York, has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of kidnapping and raping a female student passenger, prosecutors said Monday. Giovanny Campos, 50, also known as Giovanny Guzman, allegedly sexually assaulted the student from Valley Stream repeatedly from January to July, both on his bus and at his apartment in Queens, Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly said.

13 injured in multi-vehicle crash on the Long Island Expressway
Thirteen people were hurt in a crash on the Long Island Expressway, according to the FDNY. The pileup involved multiple vehicles on the LIE’s eastbound lanes near Little Neck Parkway in Douglaston at around 6:15 a.m. Saturday, the FDNY said. None of the injuries were life-threatening, officials said. The victims were taken to North Shore University Hospital and New York-Presbyterian Hospital Queens.
