WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA—A man described as having two bloodshot, black eyes was found in the backyard of a Warrington house this week carrying a pillow and refusing to leave. On May 13, Warrington police were called to Red Oak Drive when a man matching the phoned-in description was seen wandering in someone’s back yard. Crews respond to pair of vehicle crashes with rescue near Whitehall Road on Tuesday
Two people were rescued on Tuesday following a pair of unrelated crashes near Whitehall Road in Worcester Township. The first crash occurred at 2:45 p.m. at the intersection of Bean and Whitehall roads and involved two vehicles — a black Mercedes coupe and a tan Nissan Altima. Both vehicles sustained front-end damage, with the Nissan coming to rest on the side of Whitehall Road and the Mercedes striking the corner of a porch along the 2500 block of Bean Road.
Emergency Responders, Wegman’s Staff Honored for Lifesaving Efforts Earlier This Year
WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA—Warrington Township emergency responders and civilians were honored for working together earlier this year to save someone having a heart attack inside Wegman’s. On Jan. 17, Warrington police, emergency medical services and firefighters arrived at Wegman’s to find someone experiencing cardiac arrest. Pharmacy staff from Wegman’s were performing CPR and using the AED machine to defibrillate the patient.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER While the patient was in cardiac arrest for 30 minutes, they were successfully resuscitated by the time the ambulance arrived at the hospital. The individual has since made a full recovery. In a statement, Warrington police credited the successful outcome to the joint efforts of both Wegman’s staff and emergency responders, who arrived at the store within minutes of receiving the call. The two Warrington police officers who were on the scene, Officer James Umile and Officer Ryan Light, attended a ceremony at the Wegman’s on Tuesday to recognize everyone involved. Photos: Vehicle Fire Shuts Down Northbound 309 Near Sellersville Exit Wednesday Evening
Both lanes of northbound Route 309 were closed Wednesday evening as first responders fought a fully involved vehicle fire between the Souderton and Sellersville exits. Police and fire personnel were dispatched to the scene at 7 p.m. for a report of a vehicle fire. Arriving crews located a four-door Kia Soul along the right lane near mile marker 21.9 that had caught fire, and quickly worked to contain and extinguish the blaze.
Bucks County man running from California to New York to raise awareness about human trafficking
MARPLE TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania (KYW) -- A Bucks County native is running up to 40 miles a day to raise awareness about human trafficking. U.S. Capitol Police Officer Andrew Linder, who is originally from Bensalem, is aiming to be the first person to run from Santa Monica Pier in California to Central Park in New York City with a 15-pound weighted vest.
