First Responders on Scene of Vehicle Crash with Entrapment on Main Street in Lansdale
Police and fire crews are currently at the scene of a vehicle crash with entrapment on West Main Street in Lansdale Borough. According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, units were dispatched to the intersection of West Main Street and Towamencin Avenue at 7:34 p.m. for a report of a vehicle crash. Sources at the scene said one vehicle was overturned with the driver trapped inside.

Township to Implement Single-Use Plastic Bag Ban from October 11: What Local Residents Need to Know
A new regulation will be implemented in the Township starting October 11, prohibiting single-use plastic bags. A crime against historic preservation may be about to be committed in Norristown, PA, ironically threatening a landmark 19th century prison. The old Airy Street prison in downtown Norristown, reminiscent of a castle of stone, has been proposed for demolition by the commissioners of Montgomery County, which owns the property. A county commissioner has called it a “symbol of injustice” and wants it gone, even though historic prisons in many other places have been successfully repurposed and repositioned as reminders of the flaws in our American system of justice.
