The existing four-way stop will be replaced with a traffic signal and other improvements that are intended to enhance safety, accessibility and traffic flow. The other improvements include dedicated turn lanes, widening part of Hiline Road, new storm drainage, upgraded sidewalks and improved pedestrian ramps to enhance accessibility. Construction for this project is financed through a $2 million Strategic Initiatives Grant from the Idaho Transportation Department. The grant does not require a local funding match and supports transportation improvements that enhance safety, accessibility, mobility and economic opportunity. The project is part of the city's efforts to improve its transportation network as outlined in its Comprehensive
