Los Angeles Lakers legend James Worthy took some time to chime into the brutal loss, providing his insight as a former player. Worthy believes the 20-point lead given up wasn't just the players fault, but the coaching staff played a large role in losing that game.

"Sometimes it can't be left up to the players on the floor. Sometimes you gotta call his play. ... This is a pattern that hasn't been broken yet," said Ham, via Lakers Daily on X.

The Lakers were dominating the Nuggets all night, but a fourth quarter collapse helped Denver secure a 2-0 series lead. In both games this series Los Angeles has held a double-digit lead and were unable to contain it till the clock hit zero.

Worthy is clearly looking at changes the coaching staff needs to make. With just under a minute remaining the Lakers had two timeouts and could have drawn up a play, or even called one earlier to slow down the Nuggets, but that wasn't the case.

While blame is going to be put on the players, adjustments from Los Angeles were absent in the fourth quarter.
