In a shocking incident in South Huntington Township, Westmoreland County, a hunter mistakenly shoots another, mistaking them for a coyote. The injured hunter is now in stable condition. This adds to the growing number of shooting incidents involving hunters statewide.
State Police searching for two people accused of stealing from storage units
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- State Police are searching for two people accused of cutting the locks of self-storage units and stealing items from inside them in Westmoreland County.The break-ins happened at Larch's Self Storage on Willow Crossing in Hempfield Township between November 19 and November 20 and a Kia vehicle is believed to be involved.Police say the stolen items include paintball guns, an XBox controller, and jewelry. The estimated value of what was stolen is around $5,000, according to police.Anyone with information about the break-ins is asked to call State Police at the Greensburg barracks at 724-832-3288 and ask for Trooper Moffa.

Pitt-Greensburg students are calling for change following the accident that took place on Nov. 14, 2023. Pitt-Greensburg’s Audrey Fruehauf, 18, of Rector, was struck by a vehicle while crossing Mount Pleasant Road to get to University Courts. She was life flighted to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital where she remains in critical condition.

Start Of Centerville Road Bridge Demolition Next Week Will Delay Traffic On Route 30. (Lancaster, PA) -- More intense roadwork on the Centerville Road Bridge is coming next week. PennDOT says that the removal of the old bridge spanning Route 30 in East Hempfield Township will include nighttime lane restrictions and rolling stops. Officials say weather permitting, the work will be done from overnights from 8:00 p.m. to six in the morning beginning Monday, December 11th and lasting through Thursday, December 14th. Some daytime work will also happen Wednesday and drivers need to look out for flaggers who'll be on site. Officials say you should plan to take an alternative route if you can.
