Man accused of threatening to kill students waiting for the bus
GREENSBURG, Pa. (KDKA) — A Westmoreland County man is behind bars after police said he threatened to kill seven Greater Latrobe School District students who were waiting for the school bus.It happened on Ligonier Street on April 8. Police said Stanley Brosnick could be seen on surveillance video interacting with the students at the bus stop where he allegedly threatened to get his gun and shoot them.According to police paperwork, the seven students provided police with written statements stating that Brosnick told them, "I'm going to go get my gun, "I'm going to kill you," and "You're all unalive."A witness...
UPMC pharmacy employee arrested in theft of $425K in hospital funds
A pharmacy employee at UPMC Presbyterian was charged Thursday in connection with the theft of more than $425,000 from the health care giant. Chante Cantave, 28, of Penn Hills is accused of using more than $410,000 of UPMC’s funds for her own benefit and submitting about $15,000 in fraudulent reimbursement requests, according to a criminal complaint filed Thursday by the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office.

Head-on collision in Pittsburgh-area neighborhood kills one man, injures another
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A man is dead after a head-on collision Wednesday morning on Ohio River Boulevard in the Leetsdale area.According to Allegheny County police, the accident took place at 8:06 a.m. near the intersection of Ohio River Boulevard and Ferry Street. When officials arrived on-scene, they found an Audi SUV had collided with a Ford pick-up truck. The driver of the Audi SUV was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead, and the driver of the Ford pick-up truck is in stable condition after being transported to a hospital. Detectives are still investigating the scene and the circumstances of the crash. The northbound side of Ohio River Boulevard is down to one lane, and the southbound side is being diverted to Beaver Street. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call the County Police Tip Line 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
