HOME WOMAN HURT IN WESTMORELAND COUNTY CRASH
An Indiana County woman was injured in a crash Monday afternoon in Greensburg, Westmoreland County. State police from the Greensburg barracks say a cruiser driven by Trooper Daniel T. Grabowski was driving east along East Pittsburgh Street when they were hit by a car, driven by 24-year-old William J. Carter, as they tried to exit the parking lot of a nearby Rite Aid pharmacy. Carter’s passenger, 21-year-old Ariah Alabran of Home, suffered suspected minor injuries as a result of the crash and was taken to Westmoreland Regional Hospital for treatment. Carter and Grabowski were not injured.

White Oak man charged with home improvement fraud
WHITE OAK, Pa. (KDKA) -- A White Oak man is facing home improvement fraud charges. Police said the victim told them he paid Richard Baptie $4,000 as a down payment for a new roof. According to the criminal complaint, Baptie pushed back the work because of the weather then never showed up. Police said Baptie cashed the check even though he didn't do any work and the victim couldn't get in touch with him again. Baptie is charged with home improvement fraud, unlawful taking and theft by deception.

With the flip of the calendar to June, WCNS (1480; W298DH 107.5 Latrobe) and WXJX (910; W254CR 98.7 Apollo) flip from the “Westmoreland Gold” format to conservative talk radio. Steve Clendenin has owned the station under his Maryland Media One umbrella for the last couple of years, but has signed them over to Disrupter Radio owned by John Fredericks. Fredericks owns stations in Atlanta, Philadelphia, and two markets in Virginia – most of which carry a conservative format.
