Hempfield man turns himself in after 3-hour police standoff last week in village of Darragh
A Hempfield man turned himself in Thursday morning on charges related to nine guns seized after a three-hour police standoff at his home last week. State police said they were attempting to serve warrants at 10:40 a.m. April 17 for Timothy M. Pugh, 46, who lives in the village of Darragh. Two dogs prevented troopers from knocking on the door at Pugh’s Darragh Herminie Road home, so they reportedly used sirens and the public address system in an effort to get him to come outside, according to court papers.
Latrobe condemns 2 Ligonier Street rental properties
Latrobe officials have condemned two renter-occupied houses on Ligonier Street they say pose a health and safety hazard. City code enforcement officer Dan Weimer said Tuesday he’d learned that occupants of two apartments at 1207 Ligonier St. and of a three-story home at 1522 Ligonier St. have made arrangements to move elsewhere by the May 3 deadline to vacate the properties.
