Treichler wins Wright County sheriff's race with 76% of vote

WRIGHT COUNTY — Chief Deputy Matt Treichler will become Wright County's next sheriff after defeating fellow Sheriff's Office veteran Rob Mossman by a decisive margin in Tuesday's election. Treichler received 43,303 votes, or 75.63%, compared with Mossman's 13,713 votes, or 23.95%, according to unofficial results from the Minnesota Secretary of State's Office. Treichler spent election night at Spilled Grain Brewhouse in his hometown of Annandale, surrounded by family, friends and supporters as the results came in. The Nov. 3 election determined who will succeed Sheriff Sean Deringer, who announced in January that he would not seek a third term. Deringer, first elected in 2018, plans to retire at the end of the year. Treichler, 48, has spent more than 25 years with the Wright County Sheriff's Office, including the past eight years as chief deputy. As second-in-command, he oversees the agency's daily operations, including a budget of approximately $52 million and more than 310 employees. ELECTION RESULTS: Hendrickson wins reelection as Albertville mayor

With all precincts reporting, the unofficial results are now in from the Albertville mayor and city council race in the Nov. 3 general election. Incumbent Mayor Jillian Hendrickson received 1,975 votes or 66.21%. Andy John received 986 votes or 33.05%. As for city council, incumbent Rob Olson received the highest number of votes. He received 1,704 votes, or 42.16%. Eric Douglas received 1,230 votes or 30.43%. These two have won the two open seats. Robert Zagorski receved 1,072 votes or 26.52%. City council members serve four-year terms. The mayor serves a two-year term.
