BANGOR, Maine (WABI) -Sunny skies will persist for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Then, a weak wave of low pressure will slide through overnight into Sunday morning bringing increased cloud cover and some scattered showers. Tonight, expect increasing clouds with overnight lows will dropping into the upper 40s to lower 50s.
Memorial Day Baseball Game Gets Blast from the Past
WINTERPORT, Maine (WABI) - Even on a cloudy, wet day, folks in Winterport stick to their plans to celebrate Memorial Day with America’s Past Time. “Memorial Day is just a really special day of baseball here in Winterport. We try to use it as a way for the community to get together, spend some time, I think a little bit of that was lost when when COVID happened and everything shut down. So, this is really been the first year that we’ve been able to do something really big,” said Jamie Cole, Vice President of the Winterport Little League Board of Directors.

Showers north today, sunny Saturday
BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Another frontal boundary will swing through the Pine Tree State this afternoon, then, high pressure will build in for the first half of the weekend. Another cold front will approach from the northwest this afternoon, bringing mostly cloudy skies with chance for some scattered showers, primarily north of Bangor, with partly cloudy skies else where. A few drops are still possible in the Bangor area and Downeast as the front passes over head. Highs will reach the upper 60′s to lowers 70′s north to the upper 70′s to around 80 through the Bangor region. Temperatures will also hover in the low to mid 70′s along the coast. High pressure will begin to build in tonight and bring mostly clear skies and quiet weather overnight. Overnight lows will drop into the upper 40′s to around 50.
