Thunder Bay Theatre to welcome audiences for first time in six years
ALPENA, Mich. (WBKB) - Thunder Bay Theatre will host its first event inside the building since water damage from a nearby fire forced it to close in 2020. The theatre's fall fundraiser, called Autumn in New York, will welcome guests into its newly renovated lobby on Saturday October 24 from 6-9 pm. The evening will include Frank Sinatra-style music by theatre alum, Mark Francis. Organizers will also share an update on the theatre's future. Most of the building has undergone renovation and restoration. Theatre management is encouraging the public to donate and help them win a $50K matching grant to finish the renovations. The campaign will support purchasing new lighting and sound equipment. Give online by Nov 14th: www.patronicity.com/tbayt COPYRIGHT 2026 BY WBKB 11. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
