This Hidden Indiana Museum Preserves a Giant 400-Ton Steam Locomotive That Still Makes Special Excursions
A steam locomotive weighing 404 tons still leaves its shop and pulls passenger trains. It was built in 1944, and it can hit 80 miles per hour. Volunteers rescued it from an outdoor display in the 1970s. They spent years bringing it back to life, and it returned to the rails in 1979.

Copper Moon celebrates 20 years of glass art and family tradition
For Stacy Owen, owner of Copper Moon Studio Gallery & Gifts near Holland, it all started in a tiny house in the 7100 block of Front Street. The glassblower of 30 years always wanted to own her business and finally decided to take the leap with the help of her father, Bruce Wetzel, and Dan Owen, who is now her husband, around 2006. “Finally, I was like, ‘OK, this would be great,’” Mrs. Owen said of starting the business. “Then, at that point, I was like, ‘Let’s try this little teeny tiny house and see how it goes.’” Twenty years later, the trio found themselves celebrating how much the business had grown and the challenges they overcame through the studio’s 20th Mooniversary Weekend. The Chrome And Neon At The Spot Restaurant In Sidney, Ohio, Haven’t Changed Since 1941
Some towns keep their history in museums. Sidney, Ohio, keeps a big piece of it on a downtown corner, glowing under a mid-century neon sign. The story behind this corner started with a chuckwagon in 1907, and the building that stands there now still wears its Art Moderne style with pride. People drive hours to sit in its old booths, order at its narrow counter, and finish with a slice of pie.
