H-E-B announces opening date for Mansfield location, groundbreaking for Rockwall location
MANSFIELD, Texas — H-E-B’s North Texas expansion continues with two new locations. The Texas grocer is opening its Mansfield location at 1670 Broad Street on June 26 and will break ground on a location in Rockwall at the southwest corner of I-30 and S. John King Boulevard on June 27. That store’s expected to open in 2025.
Oncor calls recent storms worst in company's 112-year history
Oncor says the severe thunderstorms that ripped through North Texas last month are the worst in the company’s history. The May 28 storm caused 650,000 power outages, and since then storms have continued in DFW, delaying power restoration efforts.
Kaufman County Street Crimes Task Force Seizes Fentanyl From Forney Residence
FORNEY - The Kaufman County Street Crimes Task Force seized more than 100 pills in Forney after receiving information about the possible selling/distribution of Fentanyl. According to a press release from the Kaufman County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, information was received on June 4th that an individual was possibly in possession of/distributing illegal drugs out of a Forney residence. The Street Crimes Task Force immediately took action to prevent the drugs from being acquired by children and unsuspecting victims within the community.

A man from the Collin County town of Blue Ridge has been sentenced to 50 years in prison after burning down a Mesquite RV dealership. James Robertson pleaded guilty to an arson charge.
Souful Soundz to perform at Concerts by the Lake Thursday June 20
Rockwall, TX June 6, 2024 – Thursday nights in Rockwall are extra special this summer as the city presents its annual series of Concerts by the Lake. Another LGBTQ+ group alleges discrimination from Princeton ISD
The ACLU of Texas filed a second complaint in less than a month against Princeton ISD for alleged discrimination against an LGBTQ+ organization. The administrative complaint accused the school district of violating free speech protections under the U.S. and Texas constitutions by banning Color Splash Out — a local LGBTQ+ nonprofit — and its founder Rev. Yadi Martínez-Reyna from holding events at Princeton ISD.
