Police returned fire, then the vehicle fled the scene and a chase ensued.The man lost control of the car, flipping the vehicle. As police approached the vehicle, the man got out and shot at the officers again. Police returned fire and the man was hit. The man died from his injuries.A woman was also inside the vehicle when the crash happened, but she was not injured. No officers were injured. Police say Chief Eddie Garcia will give an update on Tuesday.The road will remain closed while the investigation continues.

A 16-year-old boy from Dallas, Texas has been sentenced to 40 years in prison after admitting to a school shooting that led to one death and one injury. The incident occurred at Lamar High School in Arlington on March 20, before the start of the school day. The teenager will first be sent to the Texas Juvenile Justice Department, with a judge to decide if he should serve the remainder of his sentence in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after he turns 19. The boy's father was also recently sentenced to over six years in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a felon.
