Whether you love, hate, or love to hate it, Oregon's Deep in the Woods court was one of the more polarizing courts in college basketball.

It was installed back in 2010 with the hopes of enhancing its presence on TV.

“We wanted to design the most iconic television presence possible for the University of Oregon by conjuring up a highly unique and visible basketball floor design,” according to the vice president for design and special projects for Nike Tinker Hatfield in a 2010 release . “Its inspired by our beautiful tree-covered region and the UO 1939 NCAA Championship basketball team nicknamed the 'Tall Firs.'”

It certainly drew mixed reviews, similar to that of Boise State's smurf turf. On Thursday, it was revealed that the Ducks would be moving on from the court in a social media post by Bill Oram of the Oregonian.

There was no reveal of what the next court would look like, but it is worth noting that the Ducks will be joining the Big Ten in 2024 so a change was imminent regardless.

Thanks to their relationship with Nike founder Phil Knight, Oregon is known for unique uniforms and even playing surfaces. Surely they will have a new court that draws attention in its own way the next time.
