Reaction to closing of Cardinal Stritch ranges from disappointment to sadness
Tears, shock, and sadness greeted the news Thursday that Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School will close at the end of the year. “We were told when we got to school in the morning to go to the gym,” said senior Kelsey Anderson. She was still choking back tears as she left the school Thursday afternoon. “Everybody in the gym was crying,” she said when it was announced the school planned to close. “We thought it would have been better to close after we graduated, but that will not happen.” Senior Rasean Gordon said he didn’t see it coming. “We all should have known about this way before it was announced, especially the kids who are in sports.
